 to answer a few of your questions 
     * So who are “they” & why are “they” coming?
 They who are coming is whoever the Man in black(fake locke, Flocke)gets to join him so far Sawyer is the only member, He seems to be giving answers so its a matter of time before Kate and others join.  
     * Who the F*** is Jacob? and what the F*** is his deal? Jacob is the protector of the Island a lot of symbolism going on with good and evil, so think of Jacob as Good man in black as Evil, We don't know which is which for sure. 
     * What’s in the box? The dead body of John Locke is in the box to prove the kind of power that Man in black has. Turning into the SMOKE Monster, John Locke, Mr Eckos brother, Jacks father. etc. WE know the Man in black is powerful and that he is NO longer a MAN he is something else not sure what yet though.
     * Is whatever happened always what happened? YES everything that happens, happens even if its in the past or in the future, these are all alternate realities that dont really affect the TOday that we know but the Today they are living in when they are living in it. SO 1974 is still 1974 just not in anyway going to affect the 2010 we already know. Get it? probably not.. lol 
     * Is Locke really Locke? Nope as mentioned above he is the Man in black who still does not have a name, We first met him in the season finale of the last season swearing to find a Loop HOle and Kill Locke
     * WILL THEY EVEN ANSWER ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS?! WHere is the fun in that?
